10 Second Sound Off [12/26]

I believe that it is a good thing to receive but the feeling of giving is a whole lot better. I love to receive presents and I believe it may be better than giving, but when you give away a gift it makes you feel happy that you're making someone else happy. So there are mixed thoughts on the topic of receiving and giving gifts but what I do know for sure is that every Christmas I use all of my money on my friends.

My best Christmas ever was probably last year's Christmas. I was at my sister's house and I got presents there, then I went back to my foster home and got more presents there. Also, I bought a bunch of gifts for each of them too. It was a happy setting in both homes and it felt like Christmas.That is why it was my favorite Christmas.

The worst Christmas I had was when I was about 8 or 9. Every year I would go to my Nina's house two days before Christmas and return to my grandmother's house on Christmas day. I remember that feeling I would get when my Nina would drive by our apartments or being down the street. I used to hate returning to her house. I knew that whenever we got home there was something we did wrong waiting for us. So on Christmas day we went home and right as we walked in our grandmother gave us the look. We went to our room to see if there were any clues to why we were in trouble. I don't remember exactly why we were in trouble, but what I do know is right when my Nina left my grandmother locked the door, closed the windows and blinds, then she whipped us. For that whole day we were in trouble and didn't do anything. That was my worst Christmas ever.

My hands have always been small. They don't seem to grow any bigger and than they were 5 years ago. Maybe they have, but not so fast. They represent me being a boy, which I don't like because it means I am young. I don't like it when people assume I'm young or immature because seem little so whenever I shake their hands I make sure I give them a tight grip to show that just because my hands are small doesn't mean I am. My hands usually have cuts on them also. This shows that I am either active or always doing something with my hands. That is what my hands represent.

My favorite foods are pizza and Chinese food, but when I'm angry I don't like to eat them. I would rather eat desserts. I like cake and ice cream, but most of all i like cookies. so if I am depressed and hungry i will look for cookies. That might be my only comfort food because it doesn't happen a lot.

10 second sound off [12/21/09]

Today was a chill day. I woke up, went to the cafe, ate breakfast, and went back home. I watched movies until 12:00 and I saw 2012. Then I ate lunch and went to help set up for the Jammer dinner. After I went home, got dressed, then went to pick up my sister. We went to the dinner and it was awesome. That was my day.

I am on the basketball team for the school. I was excited to see that i made the team and was very hope full about us winning and going far in the season. I worked my butt off at tryouts which helped me. Now we practice 6 days a week for two hours. It gets tiring and sometimes I don't want to go but I haven't missed a day yet. We have had four games so far this year. We have two kids that are ineligible to play and are really good. Even though they couldn't play in the tournament we still tried our best. Maybe that is why we aren't doing so good. The tournament was day after day from Thursday through Saturday. The first game we got killed with a 30 point loss. Then the second game we only lost by ten. The third game we won and by like 15 that made us happy and got our hopes back up. We played another game the same day for third place and it happened to be the people from the first game and we lost by 45 points. It was horrible. Now we are practicing more for our home game on Thursday the 17th. We hope to win.

Thanksgiving Break 2009

My Thanksgiving break was bizarre. I have many mixed feelings towards it. My break started with a disappointing transport. The transport was with my brother and me going to my other brother’s house. My brother in the car ended up getting the driver mad and he turned it around and we returned to campus. Then the next day was Thanksgiving and I ate A LOT. I had a big lunch and dinner. My house sat down at our table and each said something that we were thankful for. After I hung out with friends [close friends] and then it ended up bringing drama with a lot of people. There was a lot of drama for the rest of the week, but I’m trying to avoid it as mush as possible. That was my crazy Thanksgiving break.

I'm so excited! I have just created my first blog. I am so proud of myself. Wow, I am really lucky to have Ms. Priester as a teacher. I can't wait to post more things on my blog.
