Mr. Ron Major

Principal
San Pasqual Academy

Dear Mr. Major:

I am writing to hopefully change the unnecessary rules followed by students on this campus. One of them are being able to ride a skateboard during school hours. Since you are the principal, I believe you have the power to change our school for the better. Not only change it for education, but also for students.

I would like to see this change occur because it would be a solution to so many tardies on campus. Kids are usually late to class, but if they ride skateboards to class they would be on time. For example, if a student has woodshop and then has their next class in the Tech. Center, it would be time consuming to go there. I understand that some rules would also have to be added for safety reasons, but that’s do-able. Helmets will be worn and extra carefulness would have to be taken seriously. Even with these rules skateboarding is a sport and it’s fun. Like most sports it will keep you occupied and it will help avoid problems such as smoking or any other bad activities. In other words, people can take skateboarding the same as any other sport. The person might want to perfect the skill and the same affect of being caught up with sports, or being healthy for them will occur.

Thank you in advance for taking time to read this request. Please take this into consideration and remember to look on our point of views. I look forward to your response since I know you are a bright man. Thank you once again and make it a great day.

Sincerely,
