The mom is a very strong character in the story. She is willing to do anything for her daughter, for example, she ran into their burning house to save her. My house parent, Mrs. Jessica, is also a strong person and I am pretty sure she would risk her life for her two year old daughter. Like the mom, Mrs. Jessica can "get her hands dirty" though she is a very adequate women. Also like Maggie's mom, Mrs. Jessica is into traditions and she will probably share them with her daughter. Mrs. Jessica is a very kind sympathetic person. Another trait that they share is the fact that they have to deal with their daughters that have special cases. Such as Mrs. Jessica's daughter has diabetes, while Maggie has been burned in a fire and has disabilities.
