Embarrasing Moment

Last basketball season we had a home game. At this home game my brother who I haven't seen in 5 months shows up, and I was very happy. Even though I was happy I was also nervous. So, in the middle of the game I was subbed in and I ran to the corner. I was passed the ball, super nervous, and I was going for the shot. So many thoughts popped in my head while I was shooting that it messed up the shot. As the shot went on I noticed it was a bit off. By a bit I mean a lot and it was an air-ball. I was so embarrassed because it was a home game and also because my brother was there. That's one of my most embarrassing moments.

My Weekend

On Saturday evening, I went to the movies. At the movies my friends and I saw the movie Step Up 3D. We all brought snacks in the movie theatre which I enjoyed. The movie was great; I even stood fifteen minutes after the movie when the credits were running because some guy was still dancing. The movie also inspired me to start dancing again because it would be really great if I learned how to dance that well. We got home a little before curfew so I was still able to hang out. That was my wonderful Saturday Evening.

First Day Of School

August 4th, 2010 the first day of school. It was a minimum day that day and I was kind of excited. I met all my teachers, but I only had two new ones. My first period I have P.E. and things are run different since it is ran by a different coach now. I’m not sure I like it yet but I guess I’ll have to deal with it. Most of the classes were just repeating directions so it was a little boring but I made it through the day. Throughout the whole day I was not nervous really, and this is so because I have been to 11 yrs. of school, and especially living with the students I’m going to school with doesn’t affect me at all. I was a bit excited but also disappointed because summer was so short. After all my classes I realized that I have no math c lass on my schedule which surprised me. Surprised and disappointed me. Hopefully I will change it though. That was my first day of school.

APA Guidline

APA formatting is very organized. To cite a source means to add in an essay the website or reference material used to gather the information. The writer needs a title, author, date of publication, and page number if citing a reference. If the writer is using the text of another website it might be too long and it won’t sound right if it uses the exact same words. So, the writer would have to paraphrase the sentence(s). A reference page is the page where all references are listed with all the information necessary. I will use the APA format in my research paper to organize al my sources and make sure I don’t take credit for any other resource.

Friday Blog Post [4/7/10]

5:00 in the morning and my alarm rings. I then remember I was going to Knotts Berry Farm with approximately 20 students and 5 teachers. On the ride there I slept and listened to music. Next we got there, separated, and went on rides. We all rode on Accelerator which was the funnest ride. Then we went on Supreme Scream and Marquise was to scared to get on. That ride was also fun. Then we walked and we bumped into this basketball game that cost five dollars. The rewards are: 2-5 buckets = 1 duck, 6-9 = a ball, and 10 - 15 = a jersey. The first time I played I made five buckets (one duck), the second time I made 4 (one duck), the third time I made 4 (one duck), the fourth time I made 5 (one duck), the fifth time I made 5 (one duck). I had 5 ducks and I was angry. Other than that I had lots of fun and Mr. Walker was really funny on the rides.

Prom Post

On Thursday, in the evening, I went to my first prom. I had got a haircut, bought new clothes, and had a tux for prom. Everyone looked very sharp. We all went on a bus and the ride was fun. When we arrived I was amazed. The area was great and so was the place where prom was at. When I walked in and I saw the setup. It was nicely done. Everyone ate there refreshments and appetizers. We were served a nice dinner and a wonderful desert. Then it was time to dance. First Michael Jackson came on and Bryan started dancing. Then other people went on stage and better songs came on. Along with those other people I was also dancing. I also took many pictures with people who wanted to. Everyone looked as if they were having fun. Some people even started rapping on the microphone. It was just a blast and there was nothing negative about going. I slept on the way back home and when we got home I said by to my date and went home.
